They took out the gender filter on the website, so now you can't narrow your search options down to boys toys, or girls toys. Effectively destroying a major part of the sites functionality. I cant imagine why they'd decide this was a good idea, but it's not helping anybody. It just makes it more difficult to use their website.

I went to the "Ask a Question" area for a toy I was considering. I submitted my question about purchasing accessories and also asked the manufacturer the same question. I received an answer last week -- 2 YEARS after I submitted the question. The answer was a non-answer, telling me to contact the manufacturer. I then published a comment pertaining to the long wait for a non-answer and received an email indicating my comment would not be published, as it did not meet the Toys R Us guidelines. I surmise the guidelines are such that only positive comments will be accepted. I have also had problems in the past with receiving the wrong item, receiving two items not ordered and the painful efforts to rectify these problems.

Terrible Customer Service
Terrible, just horrible customer service! Ordered a toy online for my son, they said it was in stock. Go to pick it up within the 72 hours as they advised, and then they tell me it is not avail. I checked, now all stores are sold out of the item. Staff do not care at all, this was at the Argentia location in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. 3 days later, they are still holding my funds on my card for a product that I never received.

The toys are just amazing
The toys are just amazing! But the shipment didn't come in time for my kids' birthday. They said it's due to Covid. I explained to him but you know how kids are... getting upset. Lousy experience, although the quality and the toys themselves are really something special!

They dont respond to customer service enquiry form. They dont have a phone number to contact them. Never got my complete order. They basically ate my money. Such a fake company. They only publish good review on their website.

Purchased a Christmas gift Dec 16 online. It was returned to the shipper for unknown reasons on December 22. I have tried to contact the company 6 times now and they refuse to get back to me. Buyer beware! They will take your money without you receiving items and ignore you. You cannot call.

Had to return items to toyrus near me in Markville mall now I had lost my receipt and was told as long as bought on my visa I could return so when I got there the return lady told me no I had to contact the store in Thor hill my self talk to manager to sent info to return that took over 40 min to do then the manager sent by email . Now I had the receipt online I gave to return just to be told I get credit that was now bull because I got the receipt they didn’t want to check there computer where I had to the work and now I get credit what the heck what the point now if I got the bill to return I am very upset now and will tell you I and anyone I see tell them not to buy from toyrus because there customer helps is zero
In the end I stuck with credit that I don’t want anything in the store to buy could have just sold them on Kijiji to get my money back
Fraudulent and pathetic service.
Absolutely appalling and pathetic service and fraud! Stay away from this company. We didn’t authorise a credit card payment and cancelled the order. However one month later they sent an email saying they have verified the order and shipped it and charged our card over $200. Customer service is pathetic and won’t even respond to our emails! And don’t even think about trying to call the number as it just keeps ringing and ringing.

They failed to deliver and cancelled three of my orders in the matter of 1-2 months
Pretty sure the Canadian branch will go under eventually just like the US one
